What You'll Need:

  • Paper

  • Glue

  • String

  • Markers

Directions

  1.  With the glue, write out the letter(s) you are working on.

  2. Lay the string over the glue and press lightly to make sure it sticks, then wait a few minutes for it to dry.

  3. Once dry, have your toddler use the markers to trace over the string.

This activity gives them something tactile to follow and may help them understand the shape of the letter better. For further learning, have them trace over it with their fingers and repeat the letter names and sounds.
